Implementation of Water Quality Testing

Recently, we have received inquiries from many customers regarding the content of Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) organic fluorine compounds in drinking water, as reported on TV and other media.

A third-party organization tested our "Hydrogen Silica Natural Water VanaH" product for organic fluorine compounds (PFAS).

This test is conducted under even stricter standards than the provisional target value* (PFOS + PFOA total value of 50ng/L or less**) set by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. It has been confirmed to be less than the lower limit of quantification of 0.5ng/L***.

* A nanogram (ng) is a unit that indicates one billionth of a gram (g).
** The provisional target value is the value considered not to affect the health of a person weighing 50kg who drinks two liters of water daily for a lifetime.
*** The lower limit of quantitation is the minimum value that can be accurately quantified with the analytical method and desired precision.
